One stand-out thing I remember from the jam that got turn into a legit game was this:

And I agree, anon - a lot of pixel styles I see in indie games are way too samey for my taste. I feel like they all came from the same book/school of pixel art.

The game is a lot more action based and also inspired by Hired guns.
Other than 4 primary stats (plus HP/SP), the character has 2 starting traits that enable stuff like lockpicking, hacking, repairing or reduce the degradation of equipment, being able to heal from eating enemy carcasses... You can get 3 more traits during the course of the dungeon crawl, ending up with 5 total.
