I'm guessing these consorts of just paying money out of my contract to hire help (lmao even) but I'm wondering if there is actual story or something worth delving into this for? I'm new to AC3 and was totally taken back by this odd mechanic. Like would these guys get better if I keep hiring one and he hires me to help him in missions or something wild? I know its a ps2 game but it doesn't hurt to ask anyway.
