The only boss I've ever liked & respected, was one at my factory job. He got the position from doing the job for decades, working himself up. When things got busy & he didn't have much to do, he came and helped us out. He trusted us to do our jobs well, he never micromanaged us, he just told us what needed to be done & then we did it as best we could.

He wasn't arrogant, he got his hands dirty, ate with us, drank with us, & had a vast amount of experience to share with us. He was a kind, funny man. I really miss having a boss like him
