more like there are just way more esl speakers than there are those for spanish, and the average 8 year old has a far better grasp on conversational english than even some people who've been speaking it for decades.
i wonder, do other languages have equivalents to being insulted as a "grammar nazi"? people making grammar mistakes so often that it gets annoying pointing them out is something i'm used to as an english speaker, but i've often considered if it happens with other languages
