Iran-Israel: main events from last night:

▪ Iran struck Israeli cities. There were reports of an attack on Haifa, a major port city. A fire broke out there. Preliminary reports suggest that Iran used a hypersonic missile.

▪ Israeli aircraft attacked facilities in Tehran, with one of the strikes hitting the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Defense. There are also reports of strikes on the office of the Defense Research Organization, an oil depot, and a fuel tank.

The city is experiencing power outages.

▪ The Times of Israel reports that eight people were killed in Israel as a result of the attacks last night. 200 more people were injured.

▪ Four people were killed, including an 8-year-old girl, when an Iranian missile struck Bat Yam, a southern suburb of Tel Aviv. About 35 people are reportedly still missing under the rubble.
