I spent 100 hours in photoshop doing this.
Overall it looks like the HG is more accurate but neither of them are as chunky as the original lineart. Oddly enough, the feet the one dude pointed out are proportionally larger on the HG than the lineart or the FM.
My personal opinion is that the FM looks like it was made a bit lankier to be more expressive in plastic model form. Long limbs help with dramatic poses in 3 dimensions. I also think the extra greeble and hard edges were probably added to break up the now larger flat surfaces.
I will also put forward that seed fans care a lot less about strict adherence to the lineart since the show doesn't either.
