I'm making a co-op rpg
I've made the movement system, basic combat, and part of the inventory system so far. Using free assets until I grok low poly modelling. Netcode is not that hard, but debugging multiplayer errors is a nightmare. There's so much more I have to do and sometimes I feel like a tutorial monkey because I have to watch tutorials or courses to learn how to implement most features. Pick a game with a smaller scope for your first game, so you don't learn everything in hard mode.
