Britain was an enormous empire at this time.
It was Britain, America and the Jewish Communists, who wanted to control the continent and the British didn't attack the Judeo-Communists for attacking their allies. German influence was primarily driven by people liking the Nazis, who represented high culture and civilisation.
Britain not only escalated the conflict but, UK's own propaganda boasted of it refusing to make peace with Hitler and Nazi Germany (which had started the space age).
