This was peak Disney for me.
This new packaging of shows for kids and bumpers. It felt like its own network.
I was there for the premiere.
We got the last seasons of new episodes of Gummi Bears, Ducktales and Rescue Rangers.
A new series with jungle book characters called TaleSpin. The Ducktales movie had premiered that summer in 1990.
And Disney was at a new high after The Little Mermaid blew up in theaters the previous winter in 1989.
Homework had to wait until after the Disney Afternoon finished.
And then each year would get a net show to anchor the block from Darkwing Duck to Goof Troop to Aladdin the series to my personal favorite and definitely came out at the right age for me at the time: Gargoyles.
