From their POV it's not an unreasonable position. If you've internalized that the system will hate you no matter what, then you'd also try to destabilize it as the only form of change you have at disposal.

I don't think that's the case. There is a vague promise, but there's no concrete endgoal of achieving this, there's no moment where it's like "ok we won! we can stop subverting now". It's only this one neverending process of becoming without actually completing the becoming. So they can only be stuck in this eternal loop of undermining from the victim position until an outsider somebody either manually guides them to a concrete victory position, or gets pissed off and shows them a concrete losing position.
