I think one of the contributing factors to why so many boards have gone to shit is that there are too many belligerent faggots who shit up threads without contributing anything. They're rarely interested in the topic of the thread--or hell, even the board in some cases. It's one thing to have an argument and call someone a faggot or make use of the nigger-word after they've earned it, but it's to be used sparingly. And at the very least be creative with it. It's retarded how everyone just defaults to muh trannies.
I suppose it's just a consequence of the reputation 4chan has with normalfags, and the types of people who come here thinking the entirety of the site is just /b/, /r9k/, and /pol/ from what they see on their greentext maymays. That, or it's a deliberate effort to shit up threads from people like the re-'tardy.
