You browse this thread. You've seen the absolute pettiness people stoop to. Generating bots to flood the thread to hate on the chosen ebin of the week. Generating gobbledigook to flood the threads we had when 4chan was down. Growing a list of playerscope bullshit to cockwatch their fellow man.
Why wouldn't they troll my clears? Why wouldn't they tell others to avoid me? "I'm nobody," that's a perfect casus belli. They can just not like the way my character smells and justify crushing me under their heel. People are petty. And I refuse to let them report to the Balance or whatever, when I failed a mechanic, that I'm trolling the lobby, and subsequently get banned without recourse because it's their diagnosis of my soul that matters, and never mine.
Your worth, your value, everything you ever contribute to the world, is diagnosed by others and by others only. Your ambitions play nothing to it. If people like you, it is by how much they feel they may benefit off you. Predators upon predators upon predators. They could modify their parses of your performance FOR FUN. That's far beneath the shit we've seen people do in this general alone, let alone the larger circlejerk of a raiding community.
