I personally don't mind it IF BB really doesn't give a shit about his dad. If BB starts spouting off "muh daddy" then it's lame to me. If he's like "lol, don't care, he failed and I wont" then alright. Or the third option, he didn't know until sometime during the two year timeskip. His main ship having his pops' name may either be him using it to inspire fear into those that know about Xebec, again whether or not BB cared about dad.
