a brazilian would be a 'luso' or 'lusitano' (portuguese adjacent). they are swarthy because of african or mediterrean admixture, not indigenous like latinos. portuguese world was mostly in Africa which latinos have no relation to. South Africa has a lot of lusitanos too for example, it's a completely different world view.
