Seriously though, I do think it makes sense from a propaganda angle. Like what, admit you are in a weakened state and open to terrorism like this? I don't think Putin can afford to back down. We already saw Russian peacekeeping efforts collapse in Armenia and Syria. But yeah, just commenting from a distance it's hard to take it seriously. I know Ukraine is fucking with Wagner / Africa Corps in Africa but I haven't seen them exactly cozying up to ISIS-K. If anything I'm a believer Russia did the false flag bombings before the second Chechen war to build public and international support for the war. Just seems very short sighted to gamble with efforts like for Ukraine.
