Atheism isn't a "social movement". Just because some people end up like this without religion does not prove god exists.
Nietzsche was partly right, without religion people descend into nihilism, and clearly we have not found an alternative with the same power as religion. There may well be some übermensch out there who fully embrace the fact life is limited and every second you exist in this form you will never get back, who try to spend every waking moment putting it to good use. However these people turn into sociopaths, seeking wealth and power and snorting cocaine off hookers' asses, they do not build communities or sit and discuss philosophy with nerds. Communism of course turned out to be rather lackluster, it didn't produce fanatics who could avoid crime and corruption and actually make the commune work. Most prefer the lazy short term dopamine coom life rather than taking any risks that might lead to pain and embarrassment.
