Would you guy happen to know if these people (or yourselves) were raised by single women? I'm not trying to be insulting - but I find that MOST of those who "hate their dad" also happen to have inherited that hatred and don't actually know the man. I'm not saying that douche-bag men don't exist.
But consider that he is half of you. And personality is HIGHLY influenced by genetics (this is a scientific fact, it is, what LEVEL it's influenced is debated, but that it IS influenced by genetics is OBJECTIVE FACT). Which means part of your personality is DIRECTLY INHERITED from your father.
I'm just saying - perhaps get to know the man before taking a scorned woman's word.
