also it's been extremely rewarding seeing these two traumatized population cats come out of their shells. Aamu wouldn't let anyone near her for ages, now she meows at me for cuddles every night. Puuro loves being picked up and held. Aamu is weirdly emotionally intelligent too, like if I'm watching something scary or get too anxious, she comes up to me and cuddles and comforts me, it's extremely lovely and somewhat unnerving bc i have no idea how she knows to do that.
