Chechnya has spent more than 40 billion rubles ($508,5 million) on the war in Ukraine, Chechen prime minister Magomed Daudov said.
Despite such large expenditures on military support, in 2023, the fund's assets officially amounted to 5.3 billion rubles ($67,4 million). Human rights activists note that the fund is used as an "alternative treasury," and 'donations' to it are collected en masse from state employees.
Previously, there have been numerous reports that people from Chechnya are not sent to the frontlines.
