Jigglypuff is one of the most poorly aged inclusions in the series. It's entirely there because of a gag from the anime that stopped being used decades ago in the 90s and using Kirby’s base.

I don't think seniority should protect it. After Pichu, Jigglypuff is by far the most expendable Pokémon veteran, imo. I even think we should even keep Squirtle or Ivysaur as standalone characters over Jigglypuff.
