I wonder why its like this, a consequence of how pathetic Deku is when written in character and how restrictive the hero system/world building is? Not to mention how sexless literally every character is outside of Mineta.

Naruto for comparison had fantastic fanfics being churned out even in 2004 when Shippuden hadn't even started yet in the manga never mind the anime.
Maybe if pic-related Deku didn't die after AM vs OFA.
