After experimenting with media and becoming more mature, there's a lesson I've learned from anime/manga/novels, not just Dragon Ball but in general.
That lesson is to never admire, respect or be grateful to any author even in the slightest. Authors are not people who deserve any respect nor any form of faith.
Admiring or respecting them is just like celebrity worship which is just plain stupidity.
I like Dragon Ball (manga, OG and Z) but I don't personally care about Toriyama. I don't worship authors more than their works just because they made one thing I like. Any sensible adult would know you should never worship and build parasocial relationships with someone just because they made one thing you like.
