I don’t even play Persona, but the absence of that kind of connection is exactly what this game suffers from. No one even mentions the protagonist anymore. He’s already faded into obscurity, which says a lot about how unremarkable and hollow the writing behind these characters really is. Aside from Louis, who only gets a pass because he’s a shallow imitation of Eren Yeager and nothing more than an eye candy.
Beyond that, not a single main cast character stands out. Their personalities all bleed into one another, with a few superficial quirks lazily tacked on to give the illusion of depth.
