The basis of calling it a dagger is mostly in the way it seems short if the whole sword ends at the point that the edges converge to, I got that. The angles could change deeper into the stone, making it longer than it seems, but the telekinetic weapon I am describing assumes that the whole thing is like a pyramid or octahedron.
Such a weapon would be useful telekinetically with a long acceleration phase where the mass would help to deliver a lot of energy on impact, and the parrying features wouldn't be important. Throwing dangerous things is often relevant in a magic fight.
