If you're talking normal chewing gum then no, it spikes blood sugar and has intense aroma making your appetite rise.
Sugar free is better, but still short lived and sweeteners can still make blood sugar spike (plus of course the aroma).
But I have found picrel which is a turkish chewing gum that isn't sweet and, most importantly, doesn't degrade as you chew it, meaning you can realistically chew it for an entire day without issue. Sure the flavor is gone, but it stays the same consistency. Pretty hard when you get it out of the box, after chewing for a min its chewing gum consistency.
These days the way I cook and eat means I no longer have hunger, but I still like these, they are just fun.
