>He looks really hungry and with no luck in finding food
>Worry about what to do
>Eventually decide to help him out
>Get his attention and make him follow to Snaust's cleverly hidden hiding spot
>A nook in the wall, hidden behind some smartly placed plywood planks
>Inside are the provisions Snaust gathered for the winter
>Some discarded cans of only slightly expired peaches
>Carefully dried and preserved apple slices
>Some yucky pickled veggies that were edible nonetheless in some scavenged jars
>And some strawberry-flavored candy as a treat every now and again
>Tell the boy that Snaust is willing to share some of her bounty and help him out a little bit
>The boy pushes Snaust away and starts gorging on Snaust's carefully gathered provisions
>Snaust is in shock
>Tug on his sleeve and beg him to stop
>Tell him these are Snaust's provisions for the winter, and if he eats it all Snaust will starve
>He doesn't care
>Keeps eating
>Cry and beg him to stop
>Promise to find some more food together
>To show him the best spots for finding food
>He pushes Snaust away again
>Snaust hits the wall with a painful shell-breaking crack
>Snaust nevertheless tries to crawl forward again, begging him to stop and asking him why
>It hurts to even cry now
>He gets annoyed and picks up Snaust
>Puts Snaust in one of the trashcans nearby and closes the lid
>Snaust is too weak and hurting to even attempt escape
>Weakly bang on the metal walls with weak snaily fists and beg for someone, anyone, to come and help Snaust
>No one comes
>Hours, maybe days later, someone knocks the trash can over
>Snaust is free, but feels weak and starving
>Crawl towards Snaust's hidden place, hoping against hope
>It's as empty as Snaust feared
