I have to vent... what's going on right now?
People use GPT to create text and sometimes this slop is passed onto me to review it.
It reads like a marketing pitch for products instead of what the document is supposed to be about.
Same with code, it is redundant or filled with garbage, so you feel like you're being drained of your soul by reading it.
The code causes bugs and it's easier to just let it slide and have the bugs be worked on as they pop up instead of sitting down to explain common sense to the person behind the keyboard, because they don't care.
Is there nothing to do at this point?
Is it better to lock yourself into home office, watch videos, play games or do anything else like going for a walk or jerking off?
It feels like even that is completely devoid of meaning at this point.
When I look into the face of most people the eye shadows sink deeper day after day. They are mentally unwell and it shows physically.
I don't care if the jobs are fake anyway and all that shit, but didn't we just come in circles and lost the whole point of everything?
There are so many people claiming they outsmart the system meanwhile they are fat as fuck, mentally unwell and pride themselves in materialistic garbage nobody cares about but the bots on social media.
Then there are meetings and agile... You have peak fertile women telling devs to add a textbox for 3 hours which is a thing that maybe takes 10 minutes. Then you have insane review processes for the simplest type of change.
Around this board you have insane amount of white/indian hate and I feel like this is another pointless meme to waste your braincells on. What exactly improves if we throw more or different people that use these tools at it? Do they magically develop the capacity to apply common sense? Why don't they do it in their broken countries they flee from for a start?
Bro, aren't we fooling ourselves at this point? I genuinely don't see it...
