Truth is the highest Good, but not the only one.
There's also Love, and there's Power.
These correlate respectively to the three planes of reality: Mental, Astral, and Material, and the path with the greatest potency is the one which cultivates Good in all three planes. Without Power, nothing happens, without Truth, it doesn't work, and without Love, it isn't worth it.
Regarding lies: A lie is always a sin against Truth, but there are plenty of circumstances where it can serve a greater Good. That is a matter of analysis.
