Not watching your video, but yeah they are completely fucked in Wilds. They had a pretty comprehensive system in 4U, then all the fortes got dumbed down to their most base components in World, then they just made it so that your cat could do all of it at once with the most pathetic unlock requirements possible. Even then, the 4U palicos were debatably dumbed down from 3U Shakalakas. Portable team seems to be keeping the buddy system relatively complex at least, it would be a real shame to have it be stripped out completely.
