Here’s what Hyung-tae said in response: “I think it is true that the story is poor. The game’s core gameplay system was completed relatively early, but the cutscenes were the biggest challenge. In action games that take narrative, cutscenes play a very important role in storytelling. It’s because it’s hard to convey all the narratives with action alone. So we had to take the narrative through cutscenes, and at first, we wanted to make a lot of settings and cutscenes.”

The director explained: “The cost of making cutscenes became too high, and we had to inevitably reduce cutscenes that would complement the world view or character narrative, except for the main plot, for efficiency.”

Hyung-tae wraps up his answer by explaining: “If I am given the opportunity to make the next work, I think I will be able to present it with a rich enough narrative at that time.“
