Fair enough. The pangs of nostalgia can be tough to set aside, especially for those who've lived through such a storied title as this.
>it seems that you’re already content and spending your time to the fullest
Ah- wouldn't necessarily go quite that far...
My static seemingly dropped-out weeks ago - hence the near-total lack of "Adventure Log" style posts recently - and Clover's been pretty dang quiet, sad to say. Still making progress through mingling with the server's locals, but it's obviously not the same as having a group of 'lads to build camaraderie with. Such as it is.

Surreal to think the only Korean publishing giant keeping itself above water at the moment is
>>>>>Nexon
Although I suppose it's not too surprising, considering how early they got their foot in the door to establish themselves as a regional powerhouse. Even if they've become the Korean equivalent of EA, with how many scandals they've been through, and the sheer, horrifying extents they continue to extort their userbase.
Part of me agrees with you in the catharsis of seeing these old giants die, as so many of them virtually abandoned their PC-centric roots, which came back to bite them. But at the same time, it's terrible to see the visible decline of so many formerly dominant Korean studios.
The Korean MMO giants gave up their position to chase the mobage dragon, and now that void in the market has been filled by other countries in their absence. Combined with numerous projects failing to get off the ground (paired with shaky releases when those projects /do/ come out), and it's easy to see why KRAFTON, NCSoft, and Pearl Abyss are all struggling financially.
The only thing I'm concerned about between those three is NCSoft potentially getting the "bright" idea to pull the plug on Arenanet in their desperation to cut costs, despite GW2 being genuinely pretty good in [current year].
