Anyone else sad they were too young to serve in Afghanistan or Iraq in the early 2000's?
The comradery with the boys, the bonds of a lifetime, the adventure, the fucking kino views and experience, bringing your xbox with you on deployment and playing some blood gulch with the boys, chugging down brewskies, sneaking into your superior officer's bunk to do pranks, shooting rag heads, delivering freedom. Why do I have such deep nostalgia for what I never got to experience?
Instead I grew up all my life in the suburbs never experiencing any excitement.
