machine TTS is really good to me. I enjoy and have been listening to a specific voice, rosie from acapela. the new machine ai voices are better but are not runable on local android so pointless imho.

However none of that is really necessary to the experience of enjoying it. I can practically translate each monotonous and level headed spoken dialogue to how each character would actually speak in real time. It's just like when you are reading words yourself. you are able to read it in someone elses voice. in this case you just listen to something you're listening to in someone elses voice.

and in any case theres no audio book of everything I have enjoyed reading in the last 10 years except trails.
