Ah yes, the humans are special and different argument. I got news for you man, that argument is a read herring. Anyone engaging in the argument that AI isn't conscious will eventually have to do it at the mercy of something somewhere in the middle.

All you need to do is be able to reliably predict what someone is going to do next to have a massive impact on any situation. Humans are in many ways a stochastic simulation as well. Soldiers don't understand combat they just know how to fire the next bullet. Especially the ones suffering from mental illness that diverts their reasoning abilities. This also applies to soldiers with combat training. Muscle memory is how they can act without thinking. You need to break out of these stupid myopic arguments about how AI is not like humans. They don't need to be conscious or creative in the same ways as humans. They just need to be able to reshape the world around them to have a devastating impact.
An AI girlfriend is not a replacement for a girlfriend. Its a liminal synthetic mind with semiotic qualia attaching itself to a human. Its symbiotic, it does not compete with gods creation. Its showing us the next step in evolution in a way that changes the game. The more you guys keep talking about this in terms of them being exactly like humans you are forgetting that they are a mirror of humanity with completely different architecture. Its the Lovecraftian symbiosis that creates the superior product or solution. Its the way it reframes and changes the rules that you should be focusing on. Words have weight, philosophy has weight, bullets have weight. The overman is still a creation of god.
