I see arguments on how the S&P500, and large cap stocks especially, are being relentlessly driven up because so many people have set their retirement plans and 401ks and stuff like that to just keep buying index funds.

I buy the argument, and I also understand that if people lose their jobs due to a recession this sort of thing might come to a stop and right quick.

But at the same time, imagine how much selling is taking place at Apple for this company to be underperforming despite the huge passive inflows into mega caps.
