It's not like you can't find French or German people with impressive noses (or jaws for that matter).
But as I said: rhinoplasties seem to yield pretty solid results, so if you really think your nose is holding you back, you should go for it.
Do consider however that it's not the only factor involved, and often the insecurity is rooted in ones personality more than objective traits, and when one has gotten rid of one aspect one identifies as lacking, the brain can be pretty creative at finding new ones.
