Everyone I knew had an internet capable phone and social media by then. Yes it was way more limited back then, but the rot had already set in deep.
Last good year before the fall was 2006 and the wild west energy was still present.
But already year from that in 2007 normies had already started finding the internet and by 2010 they were using it at an exponential rate and things had gotten fucked.
At least people online back then were exclusively white, so at least there's that.
