Because there's a reason three point lighting is one of the first things people learn. It is the 'draw a box' of lighting. Immediately jumping on it as 'bad advice' is just downright flawed - it establishes some fundamentals that are incredibly useful even when moving down to two or single point lighting and gets people thinking about lights and their purpose. Why, its almost like in the picture you posted you have
The callout was perhaps a little mean, but you made it your personality for a while that you'd 'solved lighting' by disregarding three-point without really understanding what you were saying. You have to understand something; there are a lot of people in these threads who have been gposing and similar for a long time, who understand these facets you understand, and who do not grandstand like they solved lighting in the process.
