Actually didn't hear about this, but if it comes as recommendation from a fellow barbarian then I'll check it out.

It's fantastic exposition, and not just with the videogame stuff. The whole world and all of it's quirks get revealed at just the right pace. MC is always finding out stuff either right as it hits him in the face with barely time to swerve and survive, or it gets revealed when it starts being relevant to his survival, but never feels like an asspull.
Still feels like Bjorn is actively fucking up and digging a hole for himself by trying to avoid any politics or distancing himself from the leaders, specially as he builds up reputation in the gamer room and it turns out many of them ARE leaders. I have no idea about what happens in the novel, but if I had to guess, eventually someone's going to figure out his identity and find out he's not actually that important despite holding invaluable knowledge and he'll get utterly fucked.
