I'm tired of listening to retards claim that a wipe isn't needed just because "it's a few hours of leveling so who cares anyway". For me the issue isn't and has not ever been that there's people that got to level 15 - the issue is the fact that these devs cannot be trusted to properly handle wiping out the gold of exploiters.
There's a dozen ways to hide exploited gold, and so far all they've said is that they have or will reduce the gold on each character to around 30g. Except, what about all the gold spent on items, bank tabs, professions, etc.? Or the gold sent to alts which anyone with half a brain likely left in the mail knowing that admins will be going through checking only the actual inventory of each character?
From an administration perspective it is much simpler to just wait until the server is finally able to handle more than a handful of players, reset all characters to their initial states, and set a low player cap on the re-launch (maybe 500-1000 players to start and then increase it by 250-500 per half hour afterwards as players spread out from the starting areas), than it is to manually go through and nitpick every single one of the now hundreds of level 15 characters and any alts on those accounts (not to mention the alt accounts since quite a few people have multiple accounts).
Not that any of this matters since it's just going to be nothing but a daily 30-60 minute test run each day before Kaytotes has to go beddy-byes for the next few weeks at this rate, and for all we know the dev team is about to run out of any PTO they used up to manage this launch anyway.
