No you can't.
The Indian Gir "forest", which is really more like a savanna, has lions. Not tigers. Everything closer to shortgrass savanna than to humid primary forest is shitty tiger habitat.
There are no montane tiger populations I know of either, off the top of my head (I am not a mammalogist so I may be wrong). Uplands are shitty tiger habitat.
If you'd know as much about biology as you believe you do, the stripes of a tiger are a giveaway that they are adapted to humid forest, canebrakes, bamboo thickets, and long-grass swamps.
