Gura steps forward, brushes her hair back, takes off her facemask and I get my first real look at her. She's black just like her parents. Surprisingly, Gura is a somewhat plain looking black girl. She smiles sweetly, "Hey, long time no see." . Hearing her unmistakable voice cements this fake reality. It's really her and now I'm smiling too . Her name is Mylin (not sure about the spelling).
After talking a bit we file inside and I don't remember the sermon because I'm thinking about her but I do remember bits of the party. Apparently there's food and music. I try to get a few words in edgewise with her but others are forming a circle to speak to her and she's retreated behind her mask and (still white) hair. To make matters worse, I have a fictitious brother trying square off with me over inane bullshit! From here I can feel the dreamworld going off what little rails it was on to begin with so I pull Mylin away for a final dance, Rumba, I think it was. I knew I had to say something. I wanted this weird connection between us to continue but my asshole brother tackles me to the ground and the moment is gone and I'm fighting and SHE'S GONE. Why did she want to meet me like this with out families? I don't understand what she really feels. what does any of this shit mean???
