In occupied Makiivka, on the evening of June 10, 31-year-old serviceman Vadim Sakhnyuk, likely out of jealousy, began threatening his wife's acquaintance and then, according to her, drove him into a forest and killed him.
Later, the body of the victim—36-year-old serviceman Andrei Mokin—was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head in a field in the village of Yasinovka.
To hide the evidence of the murder, Sakhnyuk left his assault rifle on the front seat of a military UAZ vehicle and set it on fire.
He has not been detained.
According to ASTRA, the murder suspect is listed with the infamous military unit 41698 in the "DNR." The victim, Mokin, was from Kazan; it is unknown when he signed a contract and ended up in Makiivka.
