The refueling aircrafts are there when the jets go back, and they go back with them.

Israel does not have the luxury America has of having bases right next to Iran where they can fly back and forth in minutes like Israel does in lebanon. They also don't have infinite jets like America, they send around 50 jets each time for an attack and turn back.

The jets don't stay around waiting for something to happen (there are _a few_ surveillance drones with 24h+ flight time that hover around for intelligence gathering, not attacks)
