To make it simple we could say there are 4 main elements of the cosmos we live in:
1. The government. That is God.
2. The administration. That's the angels
3. The people. Humans and other beings on Earth
4. The opposition. That's the demons
It basically works like a nation. With a kind of civil war scenario. The demons try to bring down the government, with psyops, violence and political schemes, to turn the humans against God. The administration tries to stop them. We are the counter-terror force in the cosmos. The humans can decide if they want to support team-light or team-dark. If the demons win on Earth and become the government and administratiion, humanity can prepare for radical changes in the system. We probably won't be able to save them.
What God would do, I don't know. It seem he doesn't interfere with the play.
