Poland was an informal military dictatorship from 1918 and formal from 1926. The nation occupied the west of Tešín Silesia & the Olsa region in 1938. Furthermore, in Polish history we find the Polish-Soviet War, with the attack on Russia, which was in the midst of a civil war, as well as militias fighting with the German Freikorps, the most famous of which was at Annaberg. In principle, Poland attacked every neighbor after its foundation, as can be read on Wikipedia under conflicts with neighboring countries. One can imagine the suffering caused by Poland for millions. read about by Europeans elsewhere on the web. Schulze-Rhonhof also explains that Hitler was willing to make far more concessions to Poland than any government in the Weimar Republic before him. That just doesn't fit into the official historical picture and is therefore little known. With England's guarantee of security, however, the Polish authorities did not feel compelled - since they were virtually invulnerable - to reach an agreement with their hated German neighbor. When the Wehrmacht then marched into Poland, England and France dutifully declared war, but both countries did nothing to support Poland militarily. Nor did they care about Stalin's annexation of eastern Poland, so it is clear that the security guarantees towards Poland were less pro-Polish and more anti-German. Poland was encouraged in its anti-German attitude but ultimately dropped like a hot potato. I have come to the conclusion that Poland was set up as a trap and ultimately sacrificed.
