Honkai shilling characters never works. Much of Durandal's hate comes from her being shilled hard rather than organically done. And that was a game where she was an established character getting shilled over many chapters and not being physically present for all of them. The shilling here is worse because it's compressed shilling within one location, within a few if long patches, for characters unlikely to reappear after this location is done.
