I went to a flea market and bought a lightweight wooden stick to turn into a cane for my Gala Discord cosplay. My internship is about to end in about two weeks, and I should really start working on the cosplay stuff right after, as well as committing to my final thesis. The urge to procrastinate will be strong, but I have to do this for myself, mai waifu, and my 3dpd as well.

Seriously, the cane will be annoying dead weight more often than not, but it's going to add flair, and I can do the ISHYGDDT pose with it. I hope I can make the wig and horns work. I hope I can make the whole damn Smooze cosplay work, and prepare a stage act including props. Oh Lord.

There's definitely a special connection if you feel this way, regardless of liking other characters as well. I enjoy Rarity, but she doesn't make my heart race the way Discord does any time he's on screen. /dad/ fizzled out before Tamers happened to /mlp/. For whatever reason, the writefrens were relatively well-adjusted individuals who had to prioritize work or health matters, and I refused to continue as a one-man party because it was supposed to be a Discord thread, not a thread about me. I also have problems of my own which interfere with my ability to deliver content, but I have an undying itch to continue where I left off.

Some boards very blatantly have AI-generated posts, so /mlp/ is far from the worst. Let's just try to support those threads we like having around.
