A purposefully inconsistent character. It would actually make his time traveling factor not so much of an non-existent element as it is now. I think it would make sense that he changes based on the timeline he's in. It's a real justification and would effectively give all Silverfags (the women who want their uwu softboi and guys who want aura farming) exactly what they want in the context they want it in. Silver coming from a ruined future in the story of a game where things went to shit in Sonic'a timeline means you'll get the Silver with hype moments and aura and for the slice of life stuff, women can get their #one of the girls shit.
