I suppose OP's question is at fault, it's more useful to know about the continuities/chronology of the STORYLINES between everything, than hearing people's opinions on whether those things are worth watching at all.
Because if you don't like the first few episodes of something and it bears no relation to the rest of the franchise or it's non-canon, then it's easier to drop it. Whereas you'd push on (invest time) in watching those bad parts if they're part of the main story and you don't want to miss any details.
